THEHAUSS is seeking a highly experienced and licensed General Contractor to partner with us on premium residential and commercial interior projects in the Raleigh area.
This independent role is ideal for a contractor who values integrity, craftsmanship, and seamless execution. You’ll be responsible for managing construction work on-site, including labor, materials, timelines, and collaboration with our designers and architects.
We are looking for someone who can take full ownership of the build phase and ensure that our creative visions are brought to life with safety, quality, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
Manage job sites from pre-construction to project closeout
Coordinate subcontractors, materials, permits, and inspections
Ensure adherence to timelines, safety protocols, and budgets
Review and interpret architectural and interior design plans
Communicate with clients and THEHAUSS team on progress and updates
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant worksite
Resolve site challenges and provide proactive solutions
Provide billing documentation, change orders, and punch lists
Compensation
Project-based contract with milestone payments
Typical project earnings: $7,000–$35,000+
Long-term subcontractor partnership potential
Fair billing terms and flexibility with scheduling
Option to grow into larger, multi-site builds and design-build collaborations
Licensing & Requirements
Active State of North Carolina license required (or applicable local license for international hires)
Must provide license number and proof of good standing
Business registration and liability insurance preferred
Must sign Independent Contractor Agreement and NDA
Compliance with local building codes, permitting processes, and trade regulations required
Workspace
Independent Contractor (1099)
Active North Carolina General Contractor License (required)
5+ years experience in residential or commercial interior construction
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and high-quality construction sites
Deep knowledge of local codes, safety standards, and permitting process
Must carry general liability insurance
Skilled in reading design drawings and coordinating with architects/designers
Based in or near Raleigh, NC, with reliable transportation
