THEHAUSS, INC. is looking for a skilled and dependable Installer / Handyman to support our interior design and home improvement projects with professional installation and general handyman services. Whether you’re mounting art, installing curtain rods, assembling furniture, or handling small repairs, you’ll play a crucial role in helping us bring our vision to life with precision and care.
This is a project-based 1099 role, ideal for someone who values quality work, takes pride in the details, and enjoys working in elegant, thoughtfully designed environments.

Key Responsibilities
Install art, mirrors, shelves, window treatments, decorative lighting fixtures
Assemble furniture, cabinets, decor items, and small architectural elements
Perform minor repairs, patching, wall prep, or touch-ups
Safely mount hardware into drywall, tile, concrete, or wood
Collaborate with designers on placement, spacing, and alignment
Maintain clean and respectful work environments
Compensation
$25–$50/hour, depending on task complexity
Flat rates available for installs or grouped tasks
Bonus for full-room installs, quick turnaround, or precision work
Reimbursement for hardware or material costs if pre-approved
Licensing & Requirements
No license required in NC for basic handyman services
Business license and insurance preferred for independent contractors
Must sign Independent Contractor Agreement and NDA
Reliable transportation and own tools required
Background check may be requested for in-home work
Workspace
On-site work at THEHAUSS residential and commercial projects (Raleigh & nearby)
Job details and layout notes provided in advance via Asana, Google Drive, or direct call
Communication with project managers and designers as needed
You must provide your own basic tools and equipment
3+ years of handyman or installation experience
Strong skills with tools: drills, anchors, levels, saws, fasteners, etc.
Ability to read basic plans or placement sketches
Clean and organized work habits
Bonus: experience installing custom millwork, fixtures, or shelving
