From built-in shelving and feature walls to artisan cabinetry, trimwork, or furniture, you’ll help bring our vision to life through precision craftsmanship and a love for working with natural materials.

Key Responsibilities 

Build and install custom cabinetry, shelves, paneling, furniture, trim, and feature elements

Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, or design sketches

Measure, cut, assemble, and install using professional woodworking tools

Collaborate with the design team on materials, finishes, and placement

Maintain clean and organized job sites and workspaces

Ensure high-quality finishing (sanding, sealing, staining, or painting when required)

Compensation

$30–$60/hour, depending on experience and project complexity

Flat-rate or milestone-based pricing for full installations

Bonuses for early completion, referrals, or standout craftsmanship

Material reimbursements and travel stipends (if required)

Licensing & Requirements 

License not required for most residential carpentry in NC

Business license or insurance preferred for 1099 subcontractors

Must sign NDA and Independent Contractor Agreement

Ability to transport tools and materials to job sites is essential

Workspace

Most work occurs on-site at residential or commercial projects in and around Raleigh

Off-site fabrication may be required (preferred if you have your own shop access)

Communication via phone, Zoom, Asana, and shared cloud folders

Materials can be provided or sourced jointly, depending on scope

3+ years experience in finish carpentry, cabinetry, or millwork

Proficient in the safe use of woodworking tools, saws, routers, and joinery equipment

Ability to read technical and construction drawings

Reliable transportation and punctuality required

Experience with hardwoods, MDF, veneer, and plywood systems

Bonus: experience with sustainable or reclaimed materials
