About this Role 

THEHAUSS is seeking a strategic, media-savvy, and highly creative PR Manager to help elevate our brand presence through thoughtful storytelling, public relations, and digital outreach. As an Independent Contractor, you’ll be responsible for crafting and executing a public relations strategy that communicates our voice, values, and vision to a national (and global) audience.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and creative team to pitch stories, manage press features, develop media relationships, and build visibility for both our design services and our home decor products.

Key Responsibilities 

Develop and implement a public relations strategy for THEHAUSS

Pitch media outlets, blogs, influencers, and industry publications

Draft press releases, founder bios, and media kits

Secure press coverage for product launches, company milestones, and brand stories

Identify speaking opportunities, design expos, or award nominations

Monitor press mentions and manage media relationships

Collaborate with the content and social media team to ensure aligned messaging

Support crisis communication or sensitive PR scenarios if needed

Compensation

Project-based or monthly retainer

Compensation based on scope and deliverables

Bonuses for major media placements, high-visibility campaigns, or milestone achievements

Flexible hours and remote work structure

Licensing & Requirements 

No formal license required

Must sign Independent Contractor Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. or designated country (for global contractor roles)

Reliable internet connection and personal laptop/computer required

Must be able to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all communications

Workspace

Fully remote; must have quiet, dedicated workspace and access to communication tools

Daily collaboration via Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)

Project management through Asana, Slack, Zoom, and Wix CMS

Access to Canva, Adobe Suite, and social platforms (where applicable)

Digital onboarding and shared team folders provided

Qualifications
3+ years experience in public relations, branding, or media management

Strong portfolio of press features, campaigns, or brand placement successes

Excellent written communication and pitch writing skills

Familiarity with design, lifestyle, or creative industries is a major plus

Strong network or ability to research and build media lists

Based in the U.S. with ability to work across time zones and manage communications remotely
