About this Role 

  • THEHAUSS is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Product Designer to lead the design and development of our exclusive home decor collections and digital product lines. In this role, you will transform artistic inspiration into tangible, functional, and emotionally engaging products, ranging from wall art, lighting, and textiles to digital downloads and presentation kits.

  • You’ll collaborate with the Founder/CEO and work alongside our marketing and production teams to conceptualize, prototype, and deliver beautiful, high-quality, and brand-aligned products that speak to a global audience.

Key Responsibilities 

Design and develop physical and digital products from concept to prototype to production

Create mood boards, sketches, CADs, and technical specifications

Select materials, finishes, and fabrication methods for product collections

Collaborate with marketing, product management, and sourcing teams

Participate in vendor communication and oversee sample production and revisions

Prepare assets for packaging, instruction manuals, and promotional materials

Ensure consistency with THEHAUSS brand aesthetics, values, and storytelling

Stay ahead of industry trends and integrate sustainable practices into design

Compensation

Salary Range: $55,000–$68,000 depending on experience

Performance-based bonuses and product commission opportunities

Licensing & Requirements 

No formal license required

Must sign Independent Contractor Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. or designated country (for global contractor roles)

Reliable internet connection and personal laptop/computer required

Must be able to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all communications

Workspace

Hybrid: Creative freedom with in-person collaboration at our Raleigh, NC studio and workshop.

2–4 years of experience in product design, industrial design, or decor design

Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator & Photoshop), and hand sketching

Familiarity with materials like wood, ceramic, fabric, clay, and recycled materials

Experience creating technical drawings and working with vendors or manufacturers

Strong visual presentation and storytelling skills

Portfolio that showcases original product designs and creative process

Based in Raleigh, NC or able to attend in-person design meetings and workshops
